Saule Omarova, the Autarch's nominee to be Comptroller of the Currency, insists she has no opinion as to whether rising energy costs are good or bad for a nation's economy. She claimed such was not her area of expertise.
Yet her PhD dissertation in Political Science is titled "The Political Economy of Oil in Post-Soviet Kazakhstan".
Surely having given that sort of topic a considerable degree of reflection, the issue must have crossed her mind at some point in her studies.
