Just Because Pastor Doesn't Watch News Doesn't Mean We Can't
In a sermon, a pastor boasted that he no longer watched the news.
The purpose in so sharing seemed to be to insinuate that “since I don’t, neither should you.”
It was suggested that instead of paying attention to the social and cultural decay around us, our efforts should rather be directed towards bringing Jesus to the attention of the lost.
All well and good as that is the only way to prevent people from going to Hell.
But of those converted, will they be encouraged to return to those spheres of influence from whence they came or had an interest in as a sort of ministry or will they also be expected to join the chorus of only “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus”?
If that is the case, will things really improve to any considerable degree?
You will end up with pretty much the same diehard reprobates continuing to wield power for corrosive and destructive ends.
And those now with both the ability and insight to perhaps do something about it will find themselves shamed into embracing the pious nonengagement demanded by the prevailing herd mentality.

Plague Cult Thralls Obligated To Embrace Alchemical Elixir With Revolutionary Fervor
To the dictatorial mindset bordering on the cultic, it is not enough for the tyrannized person to do as they are told.
Such souls must articulate that they rapturously agree with the imposition placed upon them or at least refrain from verbalizing their disagreement.
As proof that the House of Mouse most identifies with characters amidst its assorted franchises such as Thanos and Palpatine, Disney fiefdom ESPN suspended broadcaster Sage Steele in part for admitting that, while she dutifully acquiesced to requirements to submit to the Plague Cult elixir in order to retain the opportunity to put food on the table and a roof over he head, to demand such obedience on the part of corporate vassals is in a sense sick and scary.
Steele recanted of nothing more than what most discerning people have already thought in the following bit of rhetorical self-denunciation: “We are in the midst of an extremely challenging time...it's more critical than ever that we communicate constructively and thoughtfully.” <p>
Until recently, one would have thought that would have included vocalizing our concerns about governments and behemoth corporations in collusion forcing individuals to alter their very biochemistry ultimately against their will.

A Christian Alternative To Dating?
If dating is so wrong, isn’t reveling in their past dates akin to saying which was the best lap dance they had?
Religionists have made dating such an ordeal that they stand around gobsmacked why so many dudes have gone MGTOW.
Some of these people demand so much involvement on the part of the parents then they stand around flabbergasted if a growing number say to hell with this until the parents croak.
As to it being a group activity. Unless I am going to be a polygamist, I see no reason for group involvement.
And just because you don’t like group activities, it does not follow that one does not desire companionship of the opposite sex.

Lugubriously Pious Theologian Compares Public School Involvement With Satanism
Of me it was written, "What is an example of a double minded Christian? I would say that one who advocates public education is such an example. Public education is tax payer theft. Public education is not spiritually or morally neutral, but rather it is blatant indoctrination. It is anti-Christian and it is anti-American. If you want to insist that public education is a ministry, I will argue that it is a ministry of Satan."
So what the person is saying is that they were a practicing Satanist when they were employed by the public school system.
The world in which we exist has public education.
For the time being, it is the way in which most people are educated.
As such, Christians employed by the system doing what they can to present truth and to blunt deception to the best that they can are engaged in a MINISTRY.
Some people would do well to reflect upon Scripture praising Joseph of Arimathea as a secret disciple.
There comes a point where the devout are so eager to set the current system ablaze that they are destructive in their own manner not all that unlike radical Islamists or militant secularists.
How is someone demanding uniformity of vocational calling all that different than the Communists of the early 20th century insisting that all individuals conform to an interchangeable sameness?

Distinctions Manipulated To Undermine Individual Well Being
For insisting that all moral and legitimate work on the part of the Christian is a form of ministry in that such efforts further the purposes of God in the world, I was accused of obliterating the distinction between the secular and the sacred.
That is ironic that about a decade ago the online theologian leveling this allegation was the same one insisting that the secular/sacred dichotomy did not exist in terms of allowing women to hold elected office and in some instances even voting and that individuals possessed no right to profess a theology at variance with state-sanctioned orthodoxy.
So intermingling the sacred and secular must be kept apart if their conceptual intermingling might imbue the individual with a sense of purpose transcendent beyond the mundane.
Yet the sacred and the secular must apparently be brought together when such an amalgamation can be used to bludgeon basic human liberties.
The result is a religious collectivism that ultimately undermines human spiritual flourishing.
